Data Protection
We will ONLY use your email address to email you about your cake order.
The only times we’d copy your email address into an email to someone else would be in relation to your order – e.g. if we’re emailing your florist or venue about your wedding cake.
We will never pass on your details to anyone else.
We don’t send marketing emails. After all, you're not going to need another wedding cake. We don’t do mailshots.
If you’ve given us your address (e.g. so that Jen can send you some samples) or phone number (for Jen to call you or text you a photo of your finished cake) then that data will only be used for the purpose that you intended. Eg. written on an envelope so we can send you cake.
You might need to email Jen your sort code and account number – this would only be required if, for example, you’ve accidentally over-paid or you’ve asked Jen to return your cake stand deposit via bank transfer. In that case, that information will only be used for that specific purpose, so it will be inputted into Jen’s on-line banking interface in order to return your money to you. If you are worried about that then we'll find another way.
Your data is also stored on your invoice. That just contains your name, date & location of the wedding, and details of the cake. No one sees that except you, me, and HMRC (if they ask to).
You have the right to ask to see all the data we keep on you, or to request that all your data be deleted. Just ask Jen. (We need to keep records for at least 5 years after the 31 January submission deadline of the relevant tax year, though).
Finally...you might want to look through our terms and conditions too.
